A Place of No Failure

“Therefore, my brothers, be all the more to make your calling and election sure.

For if you do these things, you will never fail.”

(2 Peter 1:10)

Grace and peace in the glorious name of our soon coming King, Jesus Christ! We certainly are in awe by the impacting move of the Spirit during our recent 67th Anniversary Service! Both services were inspiring and spiritual edifying… from the worship to the preaching to the fellowship! And thank God for the souls that were added to the Kingdom! God was good to us! I celebrate with everyone who showed their talents & gifting, and pulled together to make the event a success. When a people are unified, following one goal, the results will always be met. Also, I want to thank everyone who gave toward their ‘sacrificial’ pledge. To God be the glory!!

Next Sunday (August 3rd) will be a special day of prayer and anointing at Bethel! I’m asking everyone make a special effort to attend the 8am prayer in the sanctuary. During the mid-morning service we will pray & anoint all those (young & old) who will be going back to college as well as our children heading to school, including our educators that will be in the classroom. We all need a spiritual covering that only the “blood of Jesus” can provide. I’m praying a “fire wall” of protection that the adversary cannot penetrate into our young people’s spiritual being! In addition, we will pray and anoint all new vehicles recently acquired by any member of New Bethel. You see, we recognize that importance of prayer in our lives!

There is urgency in the air that denotes we must move expeditiously to ensure all is ready in our individual lives. The Apostle Peter in his second epistle indicates the spiritual arithmetic equation that results with “a place of no failure.” He says add the following: faith + virtue + knowledge + temperance + patience + godliness + brotherly kindness + love. When you add all those together, it equals to “…ye shall never fall.” (2 Peter 1:5-10) That is the formula that will enable you to be fruitful and blessed with your call to ministry. Please remember, you were born (and born again) because there is a purpose for your life in destiny!

We have been given by God exceedingly great and precious promises “to escape the corruption that is in the world through lust” (2 Peter 1:4). Be determined to take your relationship with God to a new level. Please make every effort to take advantage of this opportunity of spiritual union and strong unity with God! I guarantee you, we are going to be taken to another place in God that we’ve never witnessed or experienced! Be blessed and remember, God said… This is “The Year of Happy!”
