Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
(St. Matthew 22:37)
Grace and peace! I am so grateful to God for the favor He continues to extend to Bethel consistently. As we consider the many souls that are coming to Christ on a weekly basis, it lets us know that we are yet experiencing a ‘revival spirit’ during our time of ‘Performance!’ The Word of God has been rich and the worship services are so spiritually exhilarating. Each Sunday, there is an air of expectancy… what is getting ready to happen today? Please Saints, let us never get to the place where we take for granted what God is doing or to display a nonchalant attitude about souls that are coming to be members or being baptized (both in water and Spirit). Let our excitement and appreciation always resonate through our praise of thanksgiving to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
The scripture records an attempt by a lawyer to challenge Jesus with a ‘tempting question.’ “Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law?” (St. Matt. 22:35-36). Without hesitation, Jesus immediately responds, “…Thou shalt love the Lord God with ALL thy heart, and with ALL thy soul, and with ALL thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.” (St. Matt. 22: 37-38). Jesus was letting him know you must be “Sold Out Completely!”
Today I want to challenge you to be “Sold Out Completely” to our Lord and the mission of building the Kingdom of God! You have a purpose in destiny and God is depending upon you. There has to be a commitment to give God nothing less than 100%. Your heart & dedication must be with the ministry! There’s a slang term we sometimes will use that reflected a person not giving their all… we said they were “half-stepping!” The Lord deserves our “full-stepping!” He should receive only our best, and nothing should take precedence over our allegiance and responsibility to Him.
So much is happening and we’re preparing for God to take us ‘out of the box’ as we declare the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the Kansas City metro area. I just need you to commit yourself and let the Lord know of your availability. It’s going to be exciting! Pledge today that you are “Sold Out Completely” and give your all to Him! Make the Lord King and priority of your life! Remember, this is… “The Year of Performance!” Be blessed and I love you all!
