“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.”
(St. Matthew 24:45,46)
Grace and peace as we give honor to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! I thank God for the successful Children’s Church outing at “God’s Mountain Retreat!” How electrifying was the synergism to see our youth gathered in one place … being on one accord! Also, you’ll be hearing more about the upcoming epic event, “Worship On Washington,” when we go to Washington, DC for two power-packed days of Praise, Prayer, & Worship in our nation’s capitol. I’ve got the faith that we are going to make a spiritual “impact” for the Kingdom of God!
We’re excited for the upcoming “G.Y.M. (Grow Your Ministry) Leadership Conference” that will be held this week beginning Wednesday evening and concluding Friday night! The anticipation is mounting as delegates are coming from not just here in the Kansas City Metro area, but all across the nation for an empowerment and to learn how their ministry can grow. The theme is “From the Pew to Performance!” It’s time for each of us to get busy and perform! God has called us to make an impact for Him in our communities, as well as this world. I pray that you’ll join us each day here at the church for this power-packed event!
The Lord has given all of us an assignment. That’s why we’ve been birthed with not only human talents, but also endowed with spiritual gifts to fulfill our divine purpose or mission. But the question is what are you doing with your calling… the assignment that God has given you? That’s why Jesus asked the question, “Are you a wise and faithful servant of the Lord?” (Matt. 24:45 TLB) He goes on to say that “Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.” (Matt. 24:46 KJV) That’s the question, “What will the Lord find you doing?” The answer will always be found with what you have made as the priority of your life!
I need you to get personally involved to reach others! The scripture reveals, “And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation.” (2 Corin. 5:18) We’ve all been given the ministry of reconciliation, which is to bring others to Christ and make them at peace with God! The most effective means of spreading the Gospel is by YOU telling someone what God has done for you! Get the Word out and spread “good news!” Get busy, GOD NEEDS YOU! Don’t forget, God said this is the “Year of Performance!” Be blessed!
