“Let us therefore come boldy unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find GRACE TO HELP in time of need.”
(Hebrews 4:16)
We can declare as the Psalmist, “Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!” (Psalm 107:8) We are yet praising God for His awesome display of grace & mercy! Just as God has promised, this is “The Year of Performance” and we have witnessed how the Lord provided platforms and opened doors that allowed our ministry gifts to be used for the Kingdom. God is keeping His word and more is coming!!
We have experienced an extra-ordinary display of God’s mercy to New Bethel and I thank the many who joined me in fasting as we prepared for our communion service, “Grace to Help!” We’ve been invited today to partake in fellowship with the Last Supper of Jesus Christ! There’s nothing more important or sacred than Holy Communion! The time of consecration has been to prepare us for this moment. As the Hebrew writer declared, “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh.” (Hebrews 10:19-20) As we partake of the Lord’s body & blood, we are being prepared for excellence in all aspects of our life… body, soul & spirit!
The Apostle Paul made it clear that we cannot drink from the cup of the Lord and the cup of devils. We have been invited to fellowship with our Lord through Holy Communion; thus declaring our true allegiance is with our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ! Be blessed today, receive life through the communion supper, and move to excellence in your life!
Also, this is the season that we celebrate Thanksgiving and I’m praying that you enjoy a blessed Thanksgiving holiday with family & friends. And please take the time to reflect back and thank God for all that He has done for you. The scripture declares, “It is a good think to give thanks unto the Lord….” (Psalm 92:1) It has only been because of our God’s mercy & grace that was extended to us, that we are here today. Consider and remember what God has done for you this year. So before engaging in the festivities of eating, family gatherings, watching football, and shopping…. pause to thank God, knowing that it has only been because of Him that you are here today!
So much more is being planned here at Bethel for the remainder of this year and I’m excited about what God has shared with me for 2017! I’m telling you, God is preparing us to do ‘great exploits’ and for an abundance of blessings that’s coming our way! Lady Angela and I love you all. Be blessed!
