“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
(Galatians 6:9)
Greetings and blessings to the Household of Faith! I thank God for His favor because certainly we know that God has showered us with His multiple blessings! The scripture declares, “Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.” (Ezekiel 34:26)
I certainly trust each of you are blessed because God has allowed us to see another Sunday! As we near the end of the year we must take the time to reflect back and thank God for all that He has done for us. We are only here because of our God’s mercy & grace that was extended to us. For that I love and adore Him! And I know more is coming…Why? Because God declared, “This is the Year of Performance!” Even though we are nearing the end of the year, we still must perform! Never feel as if it’s over… that it won’t happen. That’s what the adversary wants you to think and he’ll begin to sow the seeds of despondency and discouragement. But keep hope alive!
All of us at one time or another have received a promise. We took confidence and trust, based on the person who made the promise to us, it will come to pass. Unfortunately, how many times did that promise end in disappointment. After counting and depending on the person to deliver the promise, for whatever reason, it was not fulfilled. But thank God we serve a faithful God! The scripture declares, “Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations…” (Deuteronomy 7:9 NIV) We have the confidence of knowing that God will keep every promise He makes! Through the Word we understand that God cannot lie! “If God said it… it must come to pass!”
So if it ever appears to you that the promise of God is not coming, just wait for it! That’s what Jesus told the disciples about the coming of the Holy Spirit. “And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father…” (Acts 1:4) Keep holding on and believing what God declared. We are in the season of blessings! Don’t get tired… don’t get weary… for in due season [or the appointed time] we will receive the promise! Expect it today! God will keep His word!
I’m excited about what God is sharing with me for 2017! I’m telling you, God is preparing us for an abundance of blessings that’s coming our way! Angela and I love you all. Be blessed!
