“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”
(Ecclesiastes 3:1)
Greetings and blessings in the name of our soon coming King, Jesus Christ! One of the distinctiveness of living in the Kansas/Missouri area is our ability to experience different seasons. And while some prefer to live with one season (or maybe two), I have always enjoyed the change of the season and the “uniqueness” each brings with it. Season in the scripture refers to “an appointed occasion or time.” King Solomon wrote, “To everything there is a season…” There is an appointed time for every aspect of your life and you must recognize when it’s a “new” season of your life. That’s why if you only live in one season, you will never experience the change in your life that comes from a new season.
The lyrics of a song that we often sing written by Israel Houghton & Derick Johnson says:
It’s a new season, it’s a new day
A fresh anointing is flowing my way
It’s a season of power and prosperity
It’s a new season coming to me
We are now entering the season especially designated for us to be reminded on how good God has been. It’s the season of thanksgiving! I can recall the official actions of King David when the presence of God [the Ark of God] was returned among the people of Israel. The scripture indicates that “He appointed some of the Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord, to make petition, TO GIVE THANKS, and to praise the Lord, the God of Israel.” (1 Chronicles 16:4) We are commanded that when we enter the gates of God’s dwelling, we must come in giving thanks and be full of thanks! (Psalm 100:4) I hope and pray that New Bethel will always reflect a spirit of gratitude and show our thanks to God for His manifold blessings, as well as His favor that has been shown to us.
But also you must understand you too are entering a “New Season” for your life. Please let us trust God and His process in taking us through our seasons (or change) of life. Upon hearing the testimonies of so many, I know that this is “The Year of Abundance!” However, the Lord is yet moving us into new realms that we’ve never experienced before. As we soon will be entering a time of construction & building… taking possession of all that God has promised and given to us, there is much we must do. More is coming and greater is needed! Our community… our country… our world needs you!
Thank you again and I love all of you. Be blessed!
