It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his passions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
(Lamentations 3:22-23)
Greetings to the Household of Faith! We can give God thanks for favor and His continual blessings that have been showered upon us. What an awesome time we have had the last few weeks! From our 5K Walk/Run & Community Block Party to our Bethel Outside the Walls & God’s Love on Fire weekend to the recent opening of our NBC CDC Food Pantry! Whew… and we’re not finished! The ‘spark’ has been lit and I know God is opening more opportunities for us to serve! I appreciate everyone who put forth the effort and made all the events successful.
This week (June 7th) marks Angela and my seventh year anniversary of being called to pastor the New Bethel Church in Kansas City, Kansas, and we want to express our thanks for everyone who has supported our leadership and ministry! These past seven years have certainly had at time its challenges, but I thank God for every victory He allowed us to experience for the cause of Christ! When we came to Kansas City, we left over fifty (50) years of memories, friends & relationships in the place that I was both naturally and spiritually born. But I can certainly declare that the Lord has been faithful! As the Lord instructed Abram, “…Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you,” (Gen 12:1 NKJV), I too have made that journey & walk of faith! And now Kansas City is home with new memories, friends & relationships.
During these past seven years at Bethel, God has truly given us His favor… for which I am eternally grateful. Yes, there have been long hours, much sacrifice and even some discouraging moments — but to God be the glory! The church membership has come together with such a spirit of unity & togetherness that is reflected by the love and move of God in our services. And look at what God has done! Just consider the membership has grown to the point where out of necessity we must build a new worship center. The ministry has made such an indelible impression with this community; and I believe we’ve made an impact in the lives of so many. New Bethel is “A Pentecostal Community of Apostolic Believers”… “A Church Controlled by the Spirit”…and “We’re Not a Mega-Church, Just a Growing Church Making a Mega-Impact!”
Angela and I, along with our daughters Amaris & Alexis, are so blessed and grateful that the New Bethel family has embraced us in love and support. The Lord has declared, this is “The Year of Performance!” We request your continual prayers and we love you all!
