It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his passions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
(Lamentations 3:22-23)
Greetings to the Household of Faith! We can give God thanks for favor and His continual blessings that have been showered upon us. Today is Father’s Day and we celebrate & honor our fathers, and thank God for the time, sacrifice, and unconditional love that they’ve given! You know that when you need protection, some advice, a guiding hand, a needed ride to the store, some discipline, and especially some money… fathers are there for you! It is both a privilege and blessing to be a father… as a giver of life and a steward of God. Fathers will be there when you need them and are committed for the long-term. Even when others can’t see the good in you, fathers will never give up on you. They are there to support and encourage you on to your goals.
Unfortunately, some may not have had their natural father in their life. Others may not even know who their natural father is. But there will be those that come into your life as a father & mentor for you. However, we are all encouraged and take comfort in the scripture that declares that God will be “a father to the fatherless.” (Psalm 68:5)
In addition today also represents our eighth anniversary of being called to pastor the New Bethel Church in Kansas City, Kansas; and I want to express my thanks for everyone who has supported our leadership and ministry! In these past eight years we have had to face some challenges, but I thank God for every victory He allowed us to experience for the cause of Christ! When I came to Kansas City, I left over fifty (50) years of memories, friends & relationships in the place that I was both naturally and spiritually born. But I can certainly declare that the Lord has been faithful! As the Lord instructed Abram, “…Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you,” (Gen 12:1 NKJV), I too have made that journey & walk of faith! And now Kansas City is home with new memories, friends & relationships.
In these past eight years at Bethel, God have truly given Angela and me favor, for which I am eternally grateful. Yes, there have been long hours, much sacrifice and even some discouraging moments — but to God be the glory! The church membership has come together with such a spirit of unity & togetherness that is reflected by the love and move of God in our services. Angela and I, along with our family, Amaris (& Dave) and Alexis, are so blessed and grateful that the New Bethel family has embraced us in love and support. We request your continual prayers and we love you all! I remain,
The Master’s Vessel,
Pastor A. Glenn Brady
